Surfactants are known to play a very important role in cosmetic formulations. Various surfactants are used in cosmetics to solubilize, emulsify, disperse, and increase the role of surfactants in formulations. However, in the case of products in which solid particles are used, the stability of dispersion and the performance of the product accordingly change when a surfactant suitable for the particles is used. In this study, a study was conducted on the stability of the formulation when manufactured in a W/O formulation using TiO2, which is widely used as a sunblock product according to the change in the type and structure of these surfactants. Changes in the ionic properties of the hydrophilic group and the change in the hydrophobic carbon chain made significant changes in the stability and UV-blocking ability of the cosmetic formulation. This study provides the necessary prior research on the development of surfactants that can be applied to cosmetics in which solid particles are used |
